Pop sticks (wooden craft sticks) are popular with kids of all ages and they are a fun way to create just about anything from simple crafts to detailed projects.
They are readily available from craft shops and other stores and you can also buy them in multiple colours, making them an excellent tool to teach basic concepts such as sorting and colour matching.

Make Your Own Tic Tac Toe Game From Pop Sticks
Here's a Tic Tac Toe game that you can make very easily using pop sticks and some foam shapes..
Here's what you will need and the instructions.
What you will need
- 14 multi-coloured pop sticks (you can use less sticks if you prefer it).
- Strong craft glue.
- Foam cardboard - 2 different colours (ideally green and red).
How to make it
- Glue the pop sticks together as shown in the photograph, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next one.
- Cut out 4-5 crosses from the red coloured foam.
- Cut out 4-5 noughts from the green coloured foam.
